Everything happens for a reason.

June 30, 2005

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they
were meant to be there…to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson
or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know
who these people may be but you lock eyes with them, you know that very
moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible,
painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without
overcoming those obstacles you would never realize your potential, strength, will
power or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means
of luck. Illness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer
stupidity all occur to test limits of your soul.
Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved,
straight,  flat road to nowhere safe and comfortable but dull and utterly
pointless.
The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that
you experience can create whom you are, and the bad experiences can be
learned from. In fact they are probably the most poignant and important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them
because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being
cautious to whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because
they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open your
heart and eyes to little things. Make every day count. Appreciate
everything that you possibly can, for you may never experience it
again.
Talk to people whom you have never talked to before, and actually
listen.
Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. Hold
you head up because you have every right to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for
if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create
you own life and then go out and live it.
Share this with anyone whom you believe has made a difference in your
life!

Brilliant!!!

George Bush has a heart attack and dies. He goes to hell where the
devil is waiting for him.

I don’t know what to do here,” says the devil. “You’re on my list but
I have no room for you, but you definitely have to stay here, so I’ll
tell you what I’m going to do. I’ve got 3 people here who weren’t quite as
bad as you. I’ll let one of them go, but you have to take their place.
I’ll even let YOU decide who leaves.”
George thought that sounded pretty good, so he agreed.

The devil opened the first room. In it was Richard Nixon and a large
pool of water; he kept diving in and surfacing empty handed over and over
and over. Such was his fate in hell.

“HELL No!” George said. “I don’t think so. I’m not a good swimmer and
don’t think I could do that all day long.”

The devil led him to the next room. In it was Tony Blair with a
sledgehammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing that
hammer, time after time after time.

“No! I’ve got this problem with my shoulder. I would be in constant
agony if all I could do was break rocks all day!” commented George.

The devil opened a third door. In it, George saw Bill Clinton lying on
the floor with his arms staked over his head and his legs staked in spread
eagle pose. Bent over him was Monica Lewinsky, doing what she does
best.

George Bush looked at this in disbelief for a while and finally
said,”Yeah,

I can handle this.”

The devil smiled and said..

“MONICA, you’re free to go!”
